The occupational therapist should have a basic knowledge of what the disease is , the answers of the bodies before human different pathogens and the basic methods of the interview and clinical assessment of patients. On the other hand, neurological diseases are a major cause of mobility and mortality in Western societies. Cerebral vascular accidents are a major cause of disability, occupying as a cause of the first or second place in the West. Degenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer's disease or Parkinson's disease increase frequency with increasing life expectancy in Western countries and cause a major constraint of the patients to perform, causing dependence for the realization of the basic and instrumental activities of daily living. Inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis youth, cause disability in a patient as well as head injuries. So that the occupational therapist can properly exercise his profession we need to have a broad knowledge of the most common diseases of the nervous system, its clinical manifestations, in the way interview, explore and address the neurological patient, as well as the basis for the treatment of neurological diseases.
