The evaluation of the subject will be made through a final exam consisting of two parts:
a) Theory block: face-to-face examination of short answer questions on the theory taught in class (approx. 1 h duration).
b) Block of problems: face-to-face examination with problems on mass and energy balances of a chemical process (approx. 2,5 h duration).
Each part will represent 50% of the final grade and it will be necessary to obtain at least 30% (3 out of 10) of the grade in each of the parts to make the average, which must be equal to or greater than 5 to approve the subject.
In the case that a pass is not obtained in the final grade, the theory or problem grade can be saved when it is equal to or higher than 4 points out of 10, provided that a minimum of 3 points out of 10 has been obtained in the another part that is not saved. If the theory or practical note is saved, it will only be saved until the December session.
The attendance to the practical activities (seminar and visits) will suppose 0.2 additional points (for each activity) that will be added to the final grade obtained whenever it is equal or superior to 5.
