The student can request the teacher (email: email@example.com) whether he wants a continuous evaluation or not. If you do not want it, you will perform the parts described below in the examination of each call. Those who opt for continuous assessment may be getting parts of the final grade as described below.
In accordance with the system and criterion of evaluation of the matter of FOOD COMPOSITION, which includes the subjects of physical-chemical properties of food, nutritional value and biochemistry of food, the GLOBAL EVALUATION of the subject of BIOCHEMISTRY OF FOOD is distributed in Function of the following criteria:
1.- Evaluation of a final exam. Minimum and maximum weighting: 0-60. The final exam will contain test questions (4 possible answers with a correct one and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 correct ones will be subtracted, it will contain a maximum of 200 questions, its value will be a maximum of 30 points). In addition, this exam will contain short answer questions (Maximum value of 30 points).
2.- Evaluation of exercises delivered during the course. Minimum and maximum weighting: 0-10. The presentation is evaluated here in a seminar, during a maximum of 15 min, of a work published in a scientific journal indexed in the Science Citation Index. The student will choose to expose an article that does not exceed 6 printed pages and its theme will have to be related to the topics presented in the theory classes. If the student does not make this presentation will get O points in the ordinary call and in the examination of the extraordinary call and December will have in the final exam questions related to the seminars exposed in class, for a maximum value of 10 points.
3.- Assistance and use of the practices. Minimum and maximum weighting: 0-10.
4.- Reports of practices. Minimum and maximum weighting: 0-10.
5.- Participation and use in the classes. Minimum and maximum weighting: 0-10.
6.- The final grade that includes the aforementioned parts will require passing the final exam with a minimum of 30 points. Example: 10 points in the final exam + 40 points in the remaining parts will not result in the passing of the subject.
The final exam will contain A) multiple-choice questions (4 possible answers with a correct one and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 correct will be subtracted and the answers not answered will be penalized) and B) short answer questions, the answers will not be penalized incorrect or not answered.
