There are two ways to pass the course:
OPTION 1: CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
In the OPTION 1, the final mark is obtained by averaging the following items in their corresponding rates:
- Final project: 50%
- Oral presentation: 30%
- Practical sessions: 20%
When choosing this option, it is compulsory to achieve the following milestones:
- To attend at least to the 80% of the course classes (theory lessons). That means 11/14 sessions, not including the introductory session.
- To carry out a deliverable final project (written in English) in groups of 2-3 people related to the course contents (design of CHP facilities).
- To perform a 25-30 minutes oral presentation (in English) related to one of the topics included in the course contents. Traditionally, the presentation takes place around the 9th week of the course.
- To attend to all the practical sessions and to deliver the related proposed tasks (reports, forms, etc.).
Otherwise, the student cannot choose this evaluation option.
OPTION 2: FINAL EXAM
In the second option, the student is complied to perform a written test and the obtained mark will match the course mark. In this option the exam should be requested at least two weeks before the official scheduled date of the exam.
The evaluation options are valid for June, September and December evaluation periods.
When choosing OPTION 2, the written test will consist of 2-3 theoretical questions and 1-2 problems.
The duration will be 2.5-3 hours.
To succesfully pass the course, the students must score at least the 40% of the top mark in each part. The final mark cannot exceeds 5 as long as one of the parts' qualification is lower than this threshold.
The test will be performed with the aid of a conventional calculator.
The students must identify themselves by means of a valid ID card.
