The subject of 'Wines of the World' is assessed continuously throughout the quarter as follows: -The Attendance and participation in seminars and workshops planned tasting account for 10% at most of the final grade for the course. The criteria for granting that score will be settled on attendance and attitude to seminars and workshops. - Personal development of tasting notes made in all workshops and delivering them at the end of the teaching period, represent 30% maximum of the final grade for the course. This , the highest score will be awarded 3 points. -The Final exam will consist of a theory exam and a practical exam. This exam will represent 60% of the course, being the highest score in the same 6 points. The theory exam wil be a test with 30 questions. It represents 50 % of the exam final mark The practical exam will be a 'blind tasting' of 7 wines analyzed in various seminars and / or workshops, performing the corresponding tab tasting. It represents 50 % of the exam final mark It is requiered to pass both parts separately to pass the exam.
The final exam will consist of a theoretical exam and a practical exam. The final exam is 60% of the final grade. That is, the maximum score awarded will be 6 points.
The theoretical exam will consist of 30 multiple choice questions about the contents seen in the subject. This part represents 50% of the final exam.
The practical exam will consist of the 'blind tasting' of 7 wines analyzed in the different seminars and / or workshops, making the corresponding tasting sheet. This part represents 50% of the final exam. It is necessary to approve the two parts separately to pass the exam.
In the test, two answers badly subtract one good.
In the blind tasting, the student's ability to clearly describe, and following the methodology used in class, the characteristics of the different wines will be assessed.
