Consequence of the exceptional situation caused by COVID-19, and given the need to adapt the Spanish university system to non-attendance, the development of teaching activity corresponding to the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic year will be subject to the following changes in the teaching guide that are specified as an addendum to the previously approved for the subject.
Theory and problem lectures: online lectures using Google Meet. These lectures are recorded and made available to students.
In addition, teaching videos are available with solved problems and some theoretical topics. In the virtual campus of the university, students can download documents with theory notes, collections of solved problems, guides that describe what has been done in each lecture, examples of exams from previous courses and bibliography. Additional reinforcement material has been added for distance teaching.
At the beginning of each week, a document is sent to the students with the planning of the theory sessions, problems and practices of the week, links to the theory videos and problems to be visualized and the recommended autonomous work for that week.
Laboratory and practical classes: Students deliver a report that will be evaluated. For each group there will be a videoconference session. Laboratory assignments that require physical equipment have been replaced by problem solving and equivalent simulations.
Office hours/tutorials: Office hours and tutorials are replaced by email, forums, or videoconferences using Google Meet, depending on the needs of the students.
The final grade will be made up of the following elements:
A) Continuous assessment (delivery of problems, lab assignments reports, tasks and real-time quizzes): 50%.
B) Final exam (online): 50%.
[This brief addendum fulfills a double function: First.- It specifies in each subject the general criteria approved for the entire University regarding the adaptation of teaching to the non-presential format for this second semester: changes introduced in the teaching methodology and the evaluation applicable in this exceptional period (according to the Reflections of the Ministry of Universities, of April 4, 2020, on general criteria for the adaptation of the Spanish university system to the Covid-19 pandemic, during the 2019-2020 academic year, as well as the REACU Agreement of April 3, 2020, in the face of the exceptional situation caused by COVID-19) Second.- It makes public and official the change in the evaluation procedure and the criteria that condition it, guaranteeing the follow-up procedure of the qualifications by the internal quality guarantee systems and by the Evaluation Agencies]
