Competencies and learning outcomes

General competencies

Analytical and critical capacity to define, understand, and address any problem in work scenarios within multi- and intercultural contexts.
Skills to design alternatives for resolving social and cultural conflicts by applying multidisciplinary tools.
Mastery of the necessary theoretical, analytical, and methodological knowledge that is transdisciplinary in nature for use in distinct specific social and cultural situations and problems.
Skills to analyze, evaluate, and assess distinct professional, institutional, territorial, and/or associative scenarios through the identification of problems, interpretation of data, and the formulation of solutions by applying action methodologies that favor community participation.
Critical capacity for social analysis of the causes and consequences of inequality and discrimination, keeping in mind the full diversity between persons, fundamental rights, and equal opportunities between men and women, the principles of equal opportunities and universal access for persons with disabilities, and the very values of a culture at peace and with democratic values.

Specific competencies

Ability to handle theoretical concepts, perspectives, and scientific and social methodologies in an advanced manner in contemporary social, economic, political, and cultural situations.
Capacity of analysis and synthesis to understand issues related to social, economic, political, and cultural situations and problems from a critical point of view.
Ability to transfer and apply theoretical knowledge and scientific and social methodologies to new situations and problems.
Capability of presenting and communicating work results in a clear manner to specialized and non-specialized audiences.
Skills for autonomous acquisition and self-study of knowledge from a transdisciplinary perspective.
