Professional interest

Learning is one of the basic processes of Psychology, as it is the scientific basis of behavior modification techniques. Be studied in depth the basic processes of learning as elicited behavior, classical conditioning and operant and interaction between them.

Understand the basics of human behavior from the sources of scientific information in psychology and other health field disciplines.

Methodology

Case studies: Learning through the analysis of actual or simulated cases in order to interpret and resolve them by employing various alternative solution procedures.
Lecture: Pass on knowledge and activate cognitive processes in students, encouraging their participation.
Problem-based learning: Develop active learning strategies through problem solving that promote thinking, experimentation, and decision making in the student.
Solving exercises and problems: Exercise, test, and apply previous knowledge through routine repetition.

Grading

A continuous assessment that encourages students to continue the learning process, in which the activities in practical clases with an exam (30% of the total mark) and work at seminars (passed review exams, 10% of the total score) will be valued will be used . In addition, a final exam of the theoretical part will include objective questions , which will weigh on the rating of 60% will be made. It is imperative to overcome it, have independently approved the Theory and Practice modules.Theoretical part: exam will be an objective test of multiple choice questions with 3 possible answers. The correction formula is: [(a-e / 2) / N] * 10). (60% of the grade of the course ). Practical part: The practices will be assessed through a final test with 4 short questions (one per practice session): 30% of the grade of the course. Works in seminars and tutorials (passed review exams): 10% of the grade of the course.

To pass the subject it is essential to obtain a grade equal to or greater than 5 in each of the parts (According to the qualification system established in RD 1125/2003, of September 5). In case of not passing the subject, but if one of its parts (theory or practice), the note of the part approved in any call, will be kept forever until the other party is exceeded.

In extraordinary calls the same evaluation criteria will be applied and in the case of the December call, the evaluation tests will be about the content of the previous course.

Assessment test characteristics

Theory exam: Objective test test of 30 questions with 3 alternative answers.

Practical exam: Presentation of four short questions (one per practice) that will deal with the contents of the practical sessions.

Correction criteria

Theory: Correction formula = {[a- (e / 2)] / N} * 10. The mark obtained in the theory exam will be added 0.50 points for each review of the approved review that will be made in the seminars.
Practices: Value of each question = 2.5 points. You can obtain a maximum of 10 points in the practice exam, to which you will add directly 0.2 points for each practice session you have attended (a maximum of 1 point in total).
Final note of the subject: (Note of theory * 0,7) + (Note of practices * 0,3).

Additional requirements

No consultation or assistance material will be allowed to take the exam. On the day of the evaluation, students must arrange and present:
