The final grade is composed of three parts: Practical (20%), seminars (10%) and theory (70%).
Practices: a practice exam that will take place at the same time with the final examination of the official announcements in June / September / December. There are two types of practice exams depending on if the student has been rated as "pass" or "failed" in the practical lessons. For the qualification of "pass" it is essential to attend all practices and deliver a report for practice the last day of practice. Practice report must be fully completed and delivered individually. In the practice exam for pass students it is not necessary a minimum score to make the average with the other notes. Students who have missed some practice without justification (and more than one justified) or have not delivered practices reports will obtain the qualification of "failed" and must pass a special examination of practices. If students with the status of "failed" do not pass the special examination of practices (with a score more than or equal to 5) will not approve the subject independently of the scores obtained in the other parts, so the final mark that will appear in the record will be the mark of the failed practice exam. The "pass" in practices will only be saved the three academic courses after the first enrollment in the subject.
Seminars. Students will solve problems in class proposed by the teacher. It represents 10% of the final grade. In this part it is not necessary a minimum score to make the average with the other notes. The qualification of the seminars will only be saved the three academic courses after the first enrollment in the subject.
Theory. It represents 70% of the final grade. It includes all theorical classes and problems. It can be passed by mid-term exams or a final exam. By mid-term exams, to overcome the first part must achieve a score more than or equal to 5. In the second part (for those who have passed the first mid-term exam) must obtain a minimum score of 4 or higher to make the average with other scores and pass the course. With a score lower than 4 in the second mid-term exam the average will not be done with the other scores (including the first mid-term exam) and the final mark that will appear in the record will correspond to the failed second mid-term exam without considering the other scores. Students who take the final exam (students who have failed the first mid-term exam or have not presented) must obtain a minimum of 4 or higher score to make the average with the other notes and pass the course. With a score lower than 4 on the final exam the average will not be done with the other scores and the final mark that will appear in the record will correspond to the failed final exam without considering the other scores. The scores of practice and theory (including the first mid-term exam) are not saved from an official to the next call, so not to pass the subject in the official June call would mean to take an exam again with the whole theory and practice in the same conditions explained before. Different types of exams can be found on the website of the subject.
