Organization and transmission of hereditary material. Recombination and genetic analysis. Human genetics. Pharmacogenetics. Pharmacogenomics.
- Pharmacy studies, as with other health sciences, have an important biological component. Therefore, given the unifying role of Genetics in current Biology, it is useful that the future pharmacist has notions about the principles of heredity studied by this science. No less important is the knowledge that the effect of the dysfunction of genes has on the body and how this is inherited, as well as the usefulness of Genetics in research related to biological phenomena. Finally, Genetics can respond to differences that show patients to drug treatment, which is explained by genetic variability in populations.
