FINAL GRADE: The final grade will be obtained as follows:
FINAL NOTE = 0.75xEF + 0.2xEC + 0.05xT,
where EF = final exam grade (0-10); EC = computer practice score (0-10). T = score for tutorials, participation in class and in activities to be programmed (0-10).
To pass the subject will be necessary to have passed EF and EC with a grade of at least 4.5 points out of 10 each and also obtain a FINAL NOTE equal or higher than 5 points.
CHARACTERIZATION AND FINAL QUALIFICATION OF EXAMINATIONS (EF): The subject consists of two blocks of differentiated contents, so the final exam will consist of two parts, one for each block, with different weights. Each block of contents is composed of the following didactic units: 1. BLOCK 1: Didactic units 1, 2, 3 and 4. 2. BLOCK 2: Didactic Units 5 and 6. The weight of each block is as follows: 1. BLOCK 1: 60% of the EF rating. 2. BLOCK 2: 40% of the EF rating.
The EF rating is calculated as follows:
If the test scores for each of the blocks are equal to or greater than 4 points out of 10:
EF = 0.6 x Grade examination Block 1 + 0.4 x Grade examination Block 2
If any of the marks in the blocks are less than 4 points out of 10:
EF = min{Grade exam Block 1;Grade exam Block 2}
In order to facilitate the passing of the subject, two opportunities will be given for each block, that is, two exams will be carried out for each of the blocks. The temporary programming of the exams is as follows:
1. The first exam (first opportunity) of each block will be made during the course once the corresponding contents have been given. The first exam of BLOCK 1 will be during the month of APRIL and the first exam of BLOCK 2 will be on 24th or 27th of MAY.
2. The second exams (second chance) of each of the blocks will be held on the day of the date determined for the final exam of the subject.
In addition, students who attend classes regularly may voluntarily take the continuous assessment controls (0.5 points each) of the didactic units to add them to the result of the exams of the corresponding blocks.
Those who in the ordinary call of June have not passed EF with at least 5 points on 10 points, will be examined of both blocks in the following calls.
CHARACTERIZATION AND QUALIFICATION OF COMPUTER PRACTICES (EC):
OPTION CONTINUOUS EVALUATION: 3 practical evaluations (ON-LINE), which will consist of problem solving with EXCEL: First evaluation: PRACTICE 1, 2 AND 3 Second evaluation: PRACTICE 4 AND 5 Third evaluation: PRACTICE 6 AND 7 In order to be considered to have passed CE by continuous assessment, an average grade of 4.5 points or above (above 10 points) must be obtained. In case of not fulfilling the above conditions the final exam of practices can be done.
OPTION SINGLE FINAL EXAM: Conducting a final exam, which will consist of solving problems with EXCEL, without using any support material, except the help offered by the EXCEL program itself. To pass EC you will need to get a score of 4.5 points (over 10 points) on the exam.
A UNIQUE FINAL EXAM:
Those students who want to make a unique final exam must make the written (EF) and computer (EC) exams planned for the day of the corresponding official call. To pass the subject a final grade of at least 5 points out of 10 points must be obtained. The final grade is calculated as follows:
FINAL GRADE = 0.75xEF + 0.25xEC.
Taking into account the minimal requirements for each part pointed out at the beginning.
