Group description and objectives
Learning the variables that influence behavior in environments of achievement, like is the case with physical activity and sports, is one of the fundamental objectives of sports sciences. Learning how the surroundings, or personal variables or characteristics of physical activity programs influence aspects, such as adherence, motivation, sports abandonment, coping with pre-competitive anxiety, or moods and sporting performance, has generated and continues generating many research projects that are being published in the most important journals within the field. In this group, we strive to continue examining this line of work, and because of this we mark the following challenges or objectives in our research objectives:
1) Learn the effect of the environment on the motivation for practicing physical activity and sports.
2) Ascertain the effect from using motivational strategies on the adherence to physical activity and sporting programs.
3) Transference in the design of training programs in educational, health, and sporting performance areas.
4) Develop behavioral training programs for coaches, academics, and physical trainers.
